Summer Weight Gain Got You Down?

Many people spend the winter working out hard and eating clean, ready to greet summer with a healthy, swimsuit-ready body. However, when it comes to summer, it’s full of lots of fun and relaxation. This makes it very easy to overindulge and pack on extra pounds...

Perhaps you are skipping your workouts or indulging in unhealthy foods or drinks a bit more frequently. It happens gradually, but the pounds can add up fast. The good news is it’s not too late to turn things around and get back on track.

Here are a few simple summer tips…

  1. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep. It’s so important for your health, weight, and recovery

  2. Get outside for a walk or head to the gym. Consistency is the key

  3. Prep your meals and snacks in advance. Planning can make all the difference

  4. Eat a healthy snack before heading to a barbeque so you’re less tempted to indulge; opt for grilled vegetables, fresh fruit, and lean cuts of meat

Don’t let the summer fun undo all of your hard work. Get back at it and finish the season out strong.
