Find Your Balance

As each year passes, I learn more valuable life lessons. I’ve learned not to let bad days, bad moments, or the chaos of this crazy life take hold over me. Here’s a little insight on things that may enhance your life and help you find your balance…

Drink lots of water. Dehydration interferes with the mind and body, so guzzle up.

Slow down during your meals. Eat without distractions and enjoy every bite.

Go for a walk. Feel the wind on your face, notice nature’s beauty and the experience you get just from being outside.

Stretch. Move slowly. It’s not important what you do, just that you do it.

Breathe deeply. Even if it’s only for a few moments. Sit back and close your eyes. Every time your mind races with thoughts about work or anything that causes any tension in your body, bring the focus back to your breath. Feel your whole body letting go.

Practice gratitude. We so often take life for granted and get caught up in the bad stuff. Count your blessings. Keep counting and don't stop until you realize how lucky you are to be alive.

I hope these tips will enrich your life, as much as they do mine.
